PRUNING BRADFORD PEAR -
DUBLIN
We selectively pruned out about 1/4 of the canopy of this overly dense Bradford Pear - an all too common problem with this species/cultivar. The tree had suffered significant storm damage a few years prior due to lack of previous pruning. Our efforts will allow for more light penetration as well as a lower wind profile during extreme weather conditions.

ARBORJET TRUNK INJECTION -
WORTHINGTON
Upon our analysis, it was determined that this Norway Maple was infested with the common tree pest Soft Scale. If left unchecked over time, this pest can stress a tree's immune function enough that a more serious secondary health problem may develop. The ArborJet injection system places a medicinal product directly into the tree's vascular system for near immediate control of pest & disease.

EMERALD ASH BORER INJECTION -
DUBLIN
This mature Ash tree had begun to lose branches in the canopy due to the presence of the Emerald Ash Borer. The tree is strategically placed in the home's landscape and in working with the owner, it was decided that treatment was the best option. Via trunk injection, we delivered the market leading product, TREE-age, directly into the tree's vascular system for near immediate protection lasting a full 2 years.

BASAL SOIL DRENCH TREATMENT -
CLINTONVILLE
Following rather agressive line clearance pruning by a local Utilities contractor, we are assisting the owner by helping the trees to recover from the stressful event. The basal soil drench application of a growth regulator will promote immune function and the application of a systemic pesticide will control wood boring insects that have targeted the stressed trees.

PRUNING LARGE WALNUT -
OLD BEECHWOLD
While removing a few dead limbs, we took a moment to enjoy the view from 60 feet into this 100+ foot Walnut located in the historic Rustic Bridge area of Old Beechwold.

VIEW FROM THE TOP -
UPPER ARLINGTON
This is a 30 sec. glimpse into what it is like to be working in a tree during a removal operation. We are dedicated to compliance with the ANSI Z133 safety standards which regulate the tree care industry. The ground worker seen below is holding a lowering line to guide branches away from structures on the property.

PRUNING HONEY LOCUST -
UPPER ARLINGTON
This large Honey Locust required the removal of a number of larger dead and hanging limbs. Due to the proximity to the client's spectacular home, we utilized lowering lines and Arborist blocks (specialized pulleys).

SILVER MAPLE REMOVAL - WORTHINGTON
The owner expressed concern to us about the openings forming at the base
of the tree. This was a timely observation, as the tree was a poor
candidate to allow to grow bigger. We noted the basal decay, co-dominant
main stems with "included bark" (which are prone to fail) and placement
next to structures and a utility drop. The probability of future
failure was high.

CRANE ASSISTED REMOVAL - OSU
While serving as an OSU Campus Arborist, a frequent role involved the removal of Campus Ash trees which succumbed to the Emerald Ash Borer.
While Buckeye Arborist Services does not own the large equipment seen in this video, experience
gained from large operations is directly transferable to our ability to
safely execute tree care operations for our clients on a smaller scale.

NOTE: Our 2010-2011 videos refer to Mayner Landscape & Tree Care, which was the the "Parent Company" of Buckeye Arborist Services. Since that time, we have
refined our focus to Tree Care, while retaining the same excellent staff
and high level of workmanship to which our clients have always been
accustomed. PHC

The owner had noticed the 45 ft. Blue Spruce dying from the top down and asked us for options. We identified the
culprit to be the White Pine Weevil - all the standard signs were there. Unfortunately, the areas of the
tree that die from this pest do not recover and in this case the options
were to remove the upper 25 ft. of the tree or to remove the entire
tree.

TREE CARE PLAN - NORWAY MAPLE
The property owner noted crown dieback in the last season or
two and in this video we walk you through our diagnosis and plan for
treatment. Somewhat wordy, but it offers a look into how an Arborist
goes about assessing causes of symptoms of poor tree health as well as
possible treatments.

OVERBROOK RAVINE - DEADWOOD REMOVAL
Two Red Oak are perched at the edge of the drop-off to the ravine and
rise above the roof and patio area of the North Clintonville home. There
were 8-10 dead limbs posing a hazard to people on the deck as well as
to the slate roof. A climbing line was installed in order to access the
two trees.
